How does the fetch cows task work on the phone?

When I open the "Fetch Cows" task and it turns purple, it still seems to add new cows even after I’ve opened it. Is this the expected behavior, or might there be a setting I missed? I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have!

    I’ve been using the Fetch Cows task on my phone, and I’ve noticed that even after I open the task (it turns purple), new cows still seem to get added. Just wondering, is that how it’s supposed to work? Or is there a setting I might’ve missed that locks the list once it's opened? I’m trying to make sure I don’t miss any cows while I’m already out fetching. Would appreciate any tips or experience from others using it the same way!
